About Addley Craft

Adam Addley is the maker behind Addley Craft. He uses many different mediums but has a particular draw to clay. He lives, works, and creates in Salt Lake City, Utah. His craft aims to create clean, simple pieces where function and form are equally attended to. Adam studied ceramics and art history at Utah State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. His work is informed by his experience in nature, traveling abroad, and the simple things in day-to-day life.

Adam sources and uses local materials he finds and gathers in Utah in his ceramics. This can be seen as iron sand collected from the Green River and wedged into his clay. Also, breaking down Granite from Little Cottonwood Canyon and Limestone from Millcreek canyon creates glazes. He also gathers local clays and is always testing with new materials.

Addley Craft pieces can be found in Salt Lake City at Atelier; in Marquette, Michigan, at Graci Gallery; online; and at various art festivals and shows throughout the summer.
